(South West Swing disclaimer)

Forest of Dean Jive and Swing photoForest of Dean Jive and Swing started as small Jive class in a health club in Monmouth in the Autumn/winter of 1998, teaching and mainly dancing modern jive. The modern jive style was abandoned in 2003 and Lindy Hop has been exclusively taught since.

There are three levels of Lindy taught:

Level 1 - Beginners / Improvers: This is where you get grounded in the basics of 6-beat and 8-beat plus charleston.
Level 2 - General: This is where you expand on the basics and at this stage, you should become competent in social dancing.
Level 3 - Intermediates Plus: At this stage you learn various timing, Jazz Steps, choreographical routines, and syncopation.
