| Friday 29th April 2011 | see organiser's website | Until Monday 2nd May - For the 2nd year Mad About Swing have organised a Plymouth-based swing weekend to coincide with the Barbican Jazz and Blues Festival. The Big Weekend begins with a dinner dance on the Friday night. On the Saturday there’s a Lindy Hop workshop with UK Champions Gary and Sara and Swing Favourites Bic and Simone followed by a second dance in the evening. With a line up of fantastic live acts, Swing Sunday takes place within Plymouth’s historic Barbican. On the Bank Holiday Monday, Duncan and Louise have organised a coastal walk. Alternatively, you can head back to the Barbican for more jazz and blues antics. | Weekend event - various timings | Friday: simply pay for your meal (non-diners £3).
